Brad & Christie

Brad offered to take me out on a real date before an upcoming hospital trip. It was a surprise and yet I had to drive. That should have been my first clue! Instead my mind was busy thinking about packing and all the other things I needed to do before I left in 3 days and how I really didn't think I had time to go on this date at all. He took me to a super fancy dinner at the Brown Palace! The dinner was fantastic! When we got back to my house, I saw candles lit in the living room and heard soft music playing. I thought my roommate's boyfriend had planned a romantic evening for her since her birthday was the day before. Brad had to drag me into the room because I didn't want to interrupt "their moment." The room was full of candles, roses and rose petals on all the tables and mantle. It truly was breathtaking!! Still confused and complimenting my roomie's boyfriend for the romantic setup, Brad took my hands, gave a romantic speech (which I don't remember) and got on one knee. It wasn't until then that I realized it was all for me! This was my moment! And it's one I will treasure for a lifetime :)
